Our Artists
Meet the talented artists behind every piece at Ash & Arbour.

Ashley is the artist behind Ash & Arbour Tattoo Co., known for her realism, floral, and ornamental work, with a focus on large-scale, cohesive pieces. Her style blends fine detail with strong composition, creating work that feels both intentional and expressive, designed not only to stand out, but to flow naturally with the body and age beautifully over time. Her passion for art began early, rooted in a lifelong love of drawing that carried through her childhood and into years of after-school art classes. Before pursuing tattooing, Ashley spent eight years in the public service, eventually realizing her passion wasn't there. That turning point led her to follow her creative instincts and pursue a tattoo apprenticeship in Ottawa. She began tattooing in 2019, building on that strong artistic foundation to create a career grounded in both technical skill and intentional design. Ashley specializes in custom tattoos, working closely with each client to develop pieces that feel personal, balanced, and thoughtfully designed. She takes pride in guiding the creative process, offering her expertise while ensuring each design reflects the client's vision. Whether it's something soft and intricate or bold and statement-driven, her focus is always on quality, flow, and creating tattoos that feel like they truly belong. She is especially drawn to projects that allow for creative freedom and scale, often building pieces that evolve across sessions into larger, cohesive works. Her approach is rooted in collaboration, trust, and attention to detail, resulting in tattoos that feel both refined and deeply individual. Outside of the studio, Ashley is a country girl at heart, spending her time gardening, fishing, and working on her mini hobby farm. That balance between grit and creativity is reflected in both her work and the atmosphere she's built within her space: elevated, welcoming, and unapologetically unique.

Monica is an artist at Ash & Arbour Tattoo Co., bringing a vibrant, style-driven approach to her work. She began tattooing in 2022 after completing her BFA in Northern Ontario, building on a strong foundation in fine art and design. She specializes in neo-traditional tattoos, with a strong focus on bold colour, clean linework, and dynamic composition. Drawing heavy inspiration from animals and nature, Monica creates stylized pet portraits and creature designs that go beyond realism - capturing personality through rich colour palettes, expressive details, and striking visual flow. Her work is designed to stand out while aging beautifully over time. Monica also enjoys bringing characters to life, whether inspired by existing media or developed as original designs, always incorporating her signature colour-forward, illustrative style. She is actively looking to take on more neo-traditional and fine line projects to continue refining and expanding her portfolio. She has a soft spot for tattoos that are playful, cute, or a little unconventional, and welcomes clients with ideas that are fun, expressive, or completely unserious. Outside of the studio, Monica enjoys a quieter pace, spending her time reading, gaming, and exploring local trails. On her days off, you'll likely find her deep into a survival game or relaxing with a good book, often alongside her pet hamster, Bombardier (affectionately known as Bum-Bum). With a genuine passion for bold design and collaborative creativity, Monica is dedicated to crafting tattoos that are both visually striking and deeply personal. She looks forward to working with clients who want something colourful, distinctive, and uniquely their own.

Krissy is a tattoo artist specializing in neotraditional and illustrative work, with a love for bold lines, rich colour, and designs packed with personality. Her work draws inspiration from nature, animals, florals, pop culture, and her not-so-secret love of all things nerdy, especially video games and nostalgic characters or anything with "Cute Factor". She particularly loves larger-scale projects that give her room to build dynamic compositions and create designs that move naturally with the body. From colourful creatures and botanical pieces to video game characters and wonderfully weird concepts, Krissy gravitates toward tattoos that are bold, playful, and unmistakably individual. While colour is where she feels most at home, she also enjoys creating high-contrast blackwork and illustrative black and grey pieces. Creating a comfortable and welcoming experience for her clients is just as important to Krissy as the finished tattoo. She loves collaborating with clients and taking the little spark of an idea, whether carefully planned or completely off-the-wall, and turning it into something uniquely hers. Outside of tattooing, Krissy can usually be found drawing, working out at the gym, spending time with her cat, Chester Cheese, playing video games, being one with nature, or disappearing down whatever creative rabbit hole has caught her attention.
